Director of Operations

Will consults for AWPAC as the Director of Operations. He is interested in how fish link ecology to environmental justice, especially for subsistence and recreational fishers. This led him to study if the quantity and quality of available seafood varied between high and low income zip codes in north Florida as he earned his B.S. in Marine Science from the University of Florida. Ware then studied striped bass migrations as he learned about the diverse fishers who catch them while earning his M.S. in Coastal Science & Policy at the University of California Santa Cruz. Currently, he monitors migrations of coho salmon and steelhead trout in Santa Cruz and San Mateo counties, while supporting and sharing conservation work around the San Francisco Bay Area. On the water, you can find him freediving, open water swimming, or trying to break his knee-surfing habit.
